Re: Non CW of the Day
Every journey's a chronograph day. I have an affection for Seiko Velatura Yachting Timers.

A watch that I actually forgot I had, found hiding on the bedroom windowsill behind the furthest reaches of the curtain this morning.

Selfhood begins with a walking away, and love is proved in the letting go.

Wearing this one, whilst watching very smart barristers, question yet another witness with a poor recollection of events…
I hope that her and her husband enjoy their new CW watches.
Neil
I wonder what the lady sat to the right of the questioning barrister is thinking?
I hope that her and her husband enjoy their new CW watches.

Re: Non CW of the Day
I'm not sure how I even thought I would not be buying any watches at the NAWCC New England Regional Meet last weekend! I went resolute to only aquire some tools, but...
... hello new project field watch! It had potential, and my wife is wearing my only other field watch, so why not get another that I can personalize?
I took it apart (of course). I popped the indices off the dial, melted the laquer topcoat, sanded the silvering off to bare brass. I drilled lume holes at the top of each hour, engraved the minutes track, then re-brushed the dial with 2000 grit in a linear pattern and re-silvered it. The lume holes got filled from the back side of the dial, and the numerals reapplied.
The hands are freshly lumed, but not original, the seconds hand painted for prominence to aid in timing for breathing and pulse rate.
Now, to settle on a permanent strap ... Brown, I think...
