It’s actually the Miyota 9075, a relatively new calibre with a jumping 12 hour hand to set to local time when traveling (sometimes referred to as a “Traveler’s GMT”). Came to the market about two years ago or so.Greatpotfarm wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:47 pmCould you shed some light on the Unitas 64xx model under that most gorgeous watch? Is it functional?

Traska Venturer GMT. Traska is a microbrand based in Jacksonville, Florida. This model has sold out quickly whenever they make a new batch, and the preorder window for July delivery has come and gone.

I meant the plastic movement thingy the watch is sitting on top of
It looks like a cool gift idea for someone who's into watches.... Might also be a fun motif for a clock background...
Also, Tim778 was inquiring about the fabulous black diver you built, not the Traska...
Top of the minute to you all,

My apologies, Dan! I thought you were referencing today's picture. That is a coaster sold by Haveston watch straps. You can purchase it directly from their website: https://www.haveston.com/insignia-serie ... Sorry, in my browser there is no image on the reply message so I quickly assumed you were referencing my post today.
The watch you asked about is (as Dan mentioned) a piece I built a few years ago. Seiko NH35 movement with parts sourced from various websites.
Best regards,
John

Re: Non CW of the Day
Got to work this morning and realised I’d forgot to put a watch on. Then I remembered I’d put an old quartz watch in my work bag for such occasions. After eventually working out how to set the time on the digital display, I’m now wearing this old battered Timex again for the first time since the original strap broke 17 years ago.

To be honest, though, when I saw the watch you chuck in the bottom of your bag as a spare I have to forgive you. That's the best Timex Expedition I've come across. It's a genuine one watch collection. You win the forum for today
