Re: Non CW of the Day
I’ve brought this away as my only watch for a weeks holiday.
However while away I made the mistake of going into a shop and trying on the latest IWC Ingenieur. The black faced version and I found it was almost perfect.
I’m now seriously considering selling this, my Seamaster Professional, my Bremont and my FLE to fund one.
It really could be my watch grail, sell everything and be done watch. I need to give this some serious thought as the watches I’m thinking of letting go are really great watches.

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Traveling through my workday w/ a Traveler GMT...
A 39mm Combat Sub for later this afternoon/evening..
Ebels are a lot like women that lack a lowcut dress that zips up the side..neither gets the love that they deserve..

NWA - Enoksen Krono, 39mm, Seiko VK63, really like the colour and Belfast touch on the 6 subdial.

Definitely give it serious thought. I've sold off watches that I really enjoyed as part of the process of "upgrading", only to now start downgrading as it's really not everything I thought it would be.iain wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 10:12 pm I’ve brought this away as my only watch for a weeks holiday.

They're just watches, so if you enjoy what you have, stick firm.
Not everyone is a nutjob like me though, so in that case, maybe go ahead ...

I’ve been here myself before as well. It will definitely be a carefully considered trade if/when the time comes.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 2:54 pm Definitely give it serious thought. I’m hoping to take semi retirement in about 5-10 years from my job as an engineer. The Ingenieur therefore could be the perfect retirement watch and a downsize of the collection would be a bonus.
This is a long term plan, not one for a rushed decision.

And on the subject of "downgrading", I've just opened up one of my new watches.
