Ouch! Maybe it's just the photo, but it looks like someone with a heavy hand had a go at that dial...

Re: Non CW of the Day
I’m typically a fan of 36-39mm, with a few pieces in the 40-42 range.
But recently, I’ve been craving a big tool watch with a thick leather strap (think Panerai energy). I scrolled through some listings but thought, 45mm, I have that. A thick leather strap, I also have that.
And this came out of the cheapies box.

And I’m really loving it! It’s been my weekend watch and I haven’t stopped yet. It is by far my most legible watch (in the light anyway) and I can read the minute at a glance faster than any of my others.
Does this mean that I’m doomed now to only Panerais and IWC Big Pilots? Am I cursed to complain about every 36mm CW release that it’s not manly enough? Only time will tell…

I like this a lot! Do I see that you made your own strap adapters to get the NATO to fit?Greatpotfarm wrote:Don't always trust the written word...

The visible part is OK...
The part only I see, and only from time to time... Well, it's pretty MacGyvered, even for me...

I think that’s a really smart way to add a NATO to watches with that little integrated bracelet connectionGreatpotfarm wrote:Feel free to laugh! I certainly smile at my crassness in this case, ... Re: Non CW of the Day
#MarathonMilitaryMonday during the day with my 2015 'original' Marathon Navigator.
'Original' as it has a proper acrylic crystal which, as I've been using it as a beater watch could do with a polish.

I've switched for this evening to my newly acquired Sinn 103 A Sa (103.06). It's in overall amazingly good condition for a 17 year old (2006) watch that has clearly been worn with loving care.
