Just noticed the GMT hand on yours is at the bottom of the stack, rather than the hour hand as on mine. Is that because it’s quartz, or is it also that way for GS autos and SDs?

It's the same for all GS GMTs. They have the 24-hr hand at the base of hand-stack, much the same as a Sellita/ETA. Mainly because they don't want to hide those big beautiful hands.

If I'm not mistaken, Rolex GMTs, not just your model, have the hour hand at the base with the 24-hr hand above?
Suppose they don't mind masking the machine finishing

Planned to wear something shinier today but this remained undefeated. I don’t have many watches that take so well to a quick strap and vibe change.

Cheap yellow strap. Great colour. Might look for something similar colour but a bit more substantial/ harder wearing
