Bident wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 7:53 pm Apologies if people saw this post in the CWL of the day thread, my mistake:

After a few weeks, the Miyota 9075 settled to +4spd, a fine result as Traska regulates all their watches. However, because I enjoy tinkering and opening casebacks, I decided to regulate further (I've regulated almost every watch I own). I'm happy to report 0spd at the moment.

The Miyota 9000 series calibers feature a unidirectional winding rotor. The rotor will freespin in the non-winding direction, making for a potential hazard when regulating. That is why I used Rodico to anchor the rotor to the case lug.

A newish arrival for me is a Miyota 9130-20Z, the 9000 series caliber with PR complication.... I'm not sure what to do with it yet, but looking forward to it, what ever it will be 😃. It looks like a tight little thing!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Two fine watches. Very much like the indices on the Hamilton, along with the thinner bezel.

I picked this one out the box last night, thinking it would be nice to wear something small, light and dressy today.

Looked out this morning and as it was dry and the sun was trying to break through I thought I would go for a walk in the local fields. Walking boots on and just about to leave the house I noticed I was still wearing a dress watch

In true watch aficionado style my initial reaction was that I would need to switch to a sports or dive style watch, to safely navigate muddy field edges and clambering over a few stiles

I then realised just how weird that would be to a normal person. So I risked it :)

Relief all round. No harm done!

This did make me smile, Neil. We really do overthink things at times. So glad the Ludwig didn’t incur any serious damage!
