Thanks, I really like it, especially since this one is from my birth year too! Seiko is great for the budget collector.Aifo wrote:You've got a real nice collector's piece there, its truly one of a kind, as I'd be very surprise if there will ever be another automatic chronograph with sun-burst yellow/golden dial AND pepsi bezel which went to space!!Konketsu wrote:Just discovered the 6139 automatic movement in this is actually a column wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch. Even happier I picked one up.![]()
Gets my vote for the most inexpensive collectible watch ever.

Bought off ebay for almost no money - couldn't believe anyone could sell a mechanical at the price

It's a an OK watch really... but BIG!

What's no money? How big is BIG? What are the dials / bezels for?Cirrus wrote:Bought off ebay for almost no money - couldn't believe anyone could sell a mechanical at the price

£14 delivered from the Channel Islands. Doubt you could buy a 24mm leather strap for thatBahnstormer_vRS wrote:What's no money? How big is BIG? What are the dials / bezels for?Cirrus wrote:Bought off ebay for almost no money - couldn't believe anyone could sell a mechanical at the price

48mm excl. the buttons.
Glass appears to have some flavour of AR coating!
9 O'Clock dial and upper button is the day - currently reading 5 for Friday
3 O'Clock dial and lower button is date - currently reading 11... I think.
6 O'Clock dial is the 24 hour indicator - so it was indicating 1pm in the photo.
9 O'Clock knob turns the internal tachy bezel - haven't worked out how to use that yet

So all in all a bit odd, but interesting. Its size means I wouldn't wear it often though

He has black dialled versions as well - suspect they would be more readable;
