Hey scooter- just saw you had posted on this thread and was hoping to see either another shot of your ace rolex or your pocket watch on a chain on a waistcoat!scooter wrote:I have to say that there are some excellent photographs on this page today.

Re: Non-CW of the Day
Morning jm
Just off for a trip to Southampton and will accommodate with the Air King later today.
Although I have now received the watch chain off of a great guy on TZ and have the waistcoat, there is as they say:
"Houston, we have a problem"!
After having the Waltham for 5 days, I managed to break the 100 year old photo case glass
It has been with the local watchmaker for the past 2 weeks to see what he can do.
Gutted is not the right word here.

It's taken me 58 years to acquire a modest grail watch.

Oh and thanks for your sympathy, much appreciated.

Re: Non-CW of the Day
I can't compete with the Air King (and I wouldn't even try), but I have worn this all weekend. Cheap and cheerful, and with a Nato strap has a definite "summer" feel to it. The perfect watch for going to the market and working around the yard.

It's a very, very nice watch, but not for me, I still think of Rolex as a 'Dad's watch'
