Generation 2 Seamaster 300. These were from around 1962 to about 1971 and still look remarkably modern.

I bought this watch maybe 9+ years ago for my son when he said we wanted a watch. He wound up barely wearing it because it was huge on his wrist. It’s been sitting in a drawer for years.

About a year or so ago I found it in a drawer and decided to change the batteries to get it running. Changing the batteries was no problem, but I had trouble getting the buttons functioning properly. Fast forward to tonight when I happen to be watching a video about a different Casio, and I saw what I needed to do to get the pushers working right.

Now everything is set and working perfectly! This thing has loads of functions - local time, quick set World time, sunrise & sunset, moon age (whatever that is), stop watch, timer, compass, temperature, a light, and 100m water resistance!

I took some rubbing alcohol to the strap to removing some printing and clean the look up a bit. I don’t know that I’ll ever actually wear it, but it’s cool!

Keep it safe - you’ll need it come the zombie apocalypse!
It’s the kind of watch I dreamed of in my early early watch days (early teens?). Chunky, mean looking and heavy on functionality. Cool. Still very cool today. My watch tastes seem to have slimmed as far as three hands and no date, but I’m pretty sure I could be tempted back

White and orange Planet Ocean. Wears well for quite a large watch.

Good morning, flue jab done, now to decide whether to do any work. As for the watch that’s an easy decision.
