Re: Non CW of the Day
Feeling festive on the holiday even though I’m working. The holiday pay doesn’t hurt.

Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

This caught my eye, too, in NoL's SOTC he recently did. It's quite an elegant piece with that bewitching dial pattern, reminiscent of GS dials. The only thing that might trouble me is the rose gold case. Don't think I'd be letting it go...jkbarnes wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 12:29 amThis is like a stealth watch. At first glance it flies under the radar, but then you get up close and can really take in the fabulous dial in all its glory. Normally, I’m not a big fan of Oris, but this one I really like.NationOfLaws wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 11:53 pm Got a new Delugs cordovan strap for this Oris. Still not feeling it. Have an OEM bracelet on order, but if that doesn’t land the plane for me I’m selling this guy. 1D898CE3-899F-483E-8827-80D910917524.jpeg

Wealth is the least meaningful metric by which to judge a person's value.
Re: Non CW of the Day
That looks very smart, but dressy. I assume the bracelet is gold, too? I think a bracelet is likely to be a nice alternative, but dress watches are often worn on leather, and the bracelet might be "too gold", if you see what I mean. It's a bit under the radar and probably needs a few wears to really appreciate it. That's the Artelier, I take it. Tim Mosso will have that sliding under a dress cuff. Maybe a black leather strap, rather than brown. Is that the cordovan on the watch at present? How slim is it, and what diameter, out of interest?NationOfLaws wrote: ↑Mon Jul 04, 2022 11:53 pm Got a new Delugs cordovan strap for this Oris. Still not feeling it. Edit - Maybe it's steel, not gold. Hard to tell sometimes.

The case is steel, the indices and hands are rose gold. I do agree it’s a dress watch so it should be on leather but I’m just having a hard time liking it.strapline wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 1:18 pmThis caught my eye, too, in NoL's SOTC he recently did. Maybe you need to see it on another wrist to really appreciate its looks? I’d be happy to wear it for you and send some pics, if you think that will help.NationOfLaws wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 2:33 pm The case is steel, the indices and hands are rose gold. Re: Non CW of the Day
I think I just appreciate a sportier watch. My plan for now is to sell the Oris and buy a leather strap from Monta and use today’s non-CW as my dress option. It’s dressy enough and it’s not like I’m going anywhere these days anyway.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Picked up this NOS titanium Tissot 7 recently, quite a bargain. It’s the first analog/digital I’ve owned and setting the time required an instruction manual! Can’t recall the last time that was needed.
The seller had replaced the battery, but hadn’t synched the analog time with the digital time, so I had to sort that out, then set the actual time. It uses the same movement that Breitling and Tag Heuer use for some of their models. Good for the price, not sure it makes my list of most desirable models though, but a bit of fun nonetheless.
