My wife is still nagging me to choose a watch for our 30th anniversary that was in April, I still can't decide!!
You definitely need to get something for those landmarks

Surely a watch that had been “Tested beyond endurance” would be a suitable choice to mark being married to you for 30 years Chris.

This has had a new, NH36 movement installed to replace the original 7S26, so now I get both hacking and hand winding. It has also been regulated and pressure tested to 100m. Hopefully the accuracy will be a little better too, once bedded in.
I have treated it to a new(ish) leather strap. This one is actually a strap I sewed up a few months back for another watch, but never really wore. It is “Conker” coloured Lyveden veg tan leather and is beautifully complaint. I ripped out my old, cream stitching and re-sewed it with blue and red accents, and then added a new pair of red and blue keepers just for fun. Loving it!
Keep well, everyone,
C

Recently started hand making most of the leather straps you’ll see on my watches, happy to consider bespoke order for forum members.
This is the twenty five year old Swatch I mentioned in my recent In Praise of Swatch thread. I think this is what American friends would class as a beater.
Beat up vintage Swatch Irony, C5 Malvern (the original), Swiss Military Swiss Soldier Quartz, Seagull 1963, Swatch Blurang Automatic, Swatch Cafe de Flore, Sealander GMT, Trident Pro 600, Fitbit Charge 5. Festina 8810, Addiesdive AD2113 knock off.
And after a few days of forced break, I continue with the presentation of my Citizen collection.
I already bought this Eco-Drive on sale in December 2021 because I simply liked the blue-turquoise color of the dial.
It's on the wrist for the first time today - for whatever reason. It is pleasantly light to wear - but the bracelet should have turned out to be of a higher quality. Unfortunately, the sapphire crystal is not anti-reflective - but I think it has something to do with the price.

This model shows that you can get a chic watch with good workmanship from Citizen even for a small budget. The 8210 movement is nothing special, but it usually runs stably and quite accurately.
For around EUR 150.00, Citizen delivers amazing things if you pay attention to the polished and brushed case parts. The dial is also an eye-catcher depending on the light. The watch comes with a steel bracelet - I got this textile strap from an accessory shop - where did I forget
