Re: Non CW of the Day
It’s a beautiful watch, Neil. Monta has a well deserved reputation for very high quality products. I would have purchased a SkyQuest years ago but for the bracelet clasp: it’s a bit too long and too flat for me. The bracelet is very comfortable otherwise and I think most people get on fine with the clasp despite my problems with it.
Best regards,
John

Des, my picture is so bad, I’m sorry it can’t portray how beautiful the watch is in person. I’ve been a Farer fan for a while, having picked up my Hecla Aquacompressor two years ago, and I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with their watches.
Best regards,
John

Re: Non CW of the Day
Andy, I have owned the Hecla (blue dial with Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9) for two years, and just recently bought the titanium bracelet which was released with these Mk2 versions. Farer make great watches and I think you will be pleased should you pick up one of these Aquacompressors. These new versions have some improvements over my model including: better anti reflective coating on the crystal, slightly thinner, more comfortable rubber straps which now feature a textured surface and quick release spring bars (and the rubber straps have fitted lug ends), and finally the availability of a bracelet, also featuring quick release spring bars. The Leven Ocean color way (blue and orange) is new and a limited edition, and if I were purchasing new today that would be my choice (although the second hand is curiously not lumed). The watch is very comfortable at 62 grams and only 109 grams with the bracelet on my (almost) 6.5 inch wrist with a profile that hugs the wrist nicely.
Best regards,
John

I like that we don’t see this too often. Makes it all the more special when we do. Such a lovely watch with a wonderful story behind it. And a great pic, as always.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Nodus announced new bronze versions of their sold out Avalon model. I should have cleaned them up before taking the picture. The white dialed version is the original stainless model launched a few months ago:
