I like testing my builds for a week or so to see how the movement is performing and if further regulation is required. Running about + or - 0.5spd so far, so I think it's time to move back into normal rotatation mode and wear my other watches again.

Same bezel as the watch you made for your son? I remember seeing it and really liking it there. Looks great here too!

Thanks, Alex. Yes, same bezel. Given this watch was built from spare/defective parts, I had very few choices but the bezel I did have to buy and I bought the same one I used on my son's watch.

Thanks, Chuck. I actually don't care that much about the accuracy, it's just enjoyable tinkering with my watches. :D

My first post in this thread, but this watch needs to be commemorated.

All original SeikoSKX007, originally bought in 2003. I have resisted the temptation for any modifications, but I have kept it serviced. In fact, it was returned from its last service/regulation on Friday and has not been off my wrist since! So far, it is running perfectly with just +5sec a day so no complaints there.
I also had a delivery of Italian Walpier leather on the same day, so it would have been rude not to sew up a new strap for it.
Keep well everyone,
C

Recently started hand making most of the leather straps you’ll see on my watches, happy to consider bespoke order for forum members.

I've had an Elliot Brown kind of day.

Started out with my Holton Professional 'NIVO'

and finished off with the Bloxworth 3HD Founders Edition.

Had to go wrong wristed as I've hurt my normal watch wearing wrist. Felt strange at first but soon got used to it.

Your straps look great btw. Is this one finished, there's a shortage of eyelets? You should do a post on how you got in to the whole strap making thing, I'd certainly be interested to learn about the making process.
