Those 2 straps (Guy & Chris) really suit the orange Monster. Could I ask where you both got them from please.

I got mine from Timefactors; its the 'Bond' with a twist;- http://timefactors.com/natostraps.htm - excellent, top notch quality.teestech wrote:Those 2 straps (Guy & Chris) really suit the orange Monster. Could I ask where you both got them from please.
I also have the same strap as Chris, albeit in 22mm, bought from Crown & Buckle in the USA; bit of a faff with postage, customs VAT etc. - but excellent quality too. It is though also available from Watch Geko as the Tudor Heritage;- http://www.watchgecko.com/catalog/produ ... cts_id/194 I've several others from them and their quality is a bit hit & miss and they must obtain their straps from differing suppliers.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Cheers Chris. Is there any noticeable difference with the glued strap than say those that are sonic welded?

I was always under the impression that you could purchase items from the states, up to a certain price, without incurring any import duty / taxes etc. You've got me worried now because I've ordered a strap from the states via ebay.
Regards,
Chris.

Re: Non CW of the Day
As far as I understand it Chris, under £15 (used to be £18) and you don't fall into the import duty bracket, but I think you're still liable for VAT, plus any 'admin' fee charged by the UK courier who pre-pays that VAT on your behalf. Quite ready to be corrected mind you, but that was my understanding.malvern_man wrote:I was always under the impression that you could purchase items from the states, up to a certain price, without incurring any import duty / taxes etc.

The strap was $21.00 USD which at the time of purchase equated to £13.97

Chris.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Still wearing the Batory it is gaining 8 seconds a day, not bad for a SeaGull movement, better than some of my Swiss watches. Sorry old pic.
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).
