Week of the Chronograph #2 - sticking with a Reverse Panda style and thinking of #MotorsportMonday I've moved over to my Zodiac Grand Rally on a Martu strap.

Thank you for this, Iain.iain wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 9:55 am I’ve had a few questions via PM about my Bremont S300, particularly about the case design and how it wears. I can’t see how to send photos via PM so I’m putting them in here with a few notes to help. Note this is the white but I’ve also owned, and traded, the black S301 which is the vintage lumed version.
A close up of the detail on the dial. Note the black versions don’t have the raised centre section, just a Matt black dial. The blue is also flat but has a great sunburst finish.

Next is a side view to try to capture the height. I’ve tried to include my full wrist as much as possible rather than zooming in. I’m about a 6 3/4” wrist size.

Here is a close up of the lugs. I was asked about the long lug to lug but this polished chamfer helps visually reduce their length quite well.

Finally here is a shot taken from distance to try to capture a more realistic wrist shot, rather then the large close ups which don’t show the true picture. Yes I know it’s not the best focus, but it’s taken with my iPad camera and is intended to show the size rather than the detail.

So hopefully these will be helpful for anyone curious about how the Bremont is if you are unable to get to your AD at present to try one on in person.
It really shows that, despite the thickness of the ZULU strap you are using, the fact that the path of the strap through the lugs is fairly flat and that the lugs droop down well, it wears very tidily.

Thanks Guy, I don’t use a third party hosting site for my photos, but this way I may answer someone else’s question as well as the just the person who sent the PM.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 3:15 pm Thank you for this, Iain.

The Zulu strap in the photo is actually the Bremont Nato supplied with the watch. You are right to point out that the curve of the lugs really helps shrink them despite their apparent length going off the spec of the watch alone.
This really is one of those watches that you need to try on to appreciate, as the height and lug to lug on paper seems large. The case design of the Bremont really does work wonders though.
I should add a disclaimer at this point, I am a big Bremont fan so my view may be biased.
Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Great watch but is that a wrist shot or a half way up the arm shot?

Cheers now, Paul

Re: Non CW of the Day
New start time of 7:30am instead of 6:00am. I think I’m going to get used to this. Just a shame that my work day is shorter so I’ll be doing more days per annum to get my required hours in. Oh, and the workload has increased!
