In the meantime, I've gone with my Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression today.

Nice, Dan. The Canford was the first EB I bought. I have a cream dial on blue rubber. I know it's quartz but mine runs slow 1 sec a month, remarkable. I love the glass-smooth rotating bezel and concentric circles on the dial. I don't know how well EB sells on the forum, don't plan on selling mine anytime soon.
