Have you tried curving the strap by moulding it around your thumb? Start at one end, bend it, move along a bit, bend it again, etc. Repeat several times.

Thanks Guy. In the end I've been softening the strap through wear. When I wore the watch last year on holiday in York, the Bremont dealer I visited was surprised at how stiff the strap was. Given how often I wear this I can now live with the strap and I'll try your tip before I wear the watch again. But as a "special edition" it's keeping its place in my collection. The more I wear it, the more I like it.

Still wearing this today for a trip to the supermarket (Tesco's) to pick up some necessities (bread, milk, etc.)
Social distancing being enforced and observed queueing outside while a member of staff limiting the number of people in the supermarket at any one time (one out, one in) :thumbup:
