Wearing the Omega today on leather. (I have been wearing it on its bracelet, which makes it look 10x better - but 10x less comfy.)

That’s very nice Guy, an unusual (but attractive) colourway.

An oldie for me and a bit unusual. This vintage Certina has an early battery movement inside (hence the “Electronic“ moniker on the dial) but it ticks four times per second. So it has a much smoother second hand than the usual 1hz quartz... It‘s a precursor to quartz movements and runs at about -10s a day which was about average for its technology, but poor compared to the quartz movements that followed.

I haven’t worn this for a while as it ran out of battery power just before we shifted in 2019, so I simply pulled the battery and put it in storage for a year, until our second shift was completed. It now has a new battery and is running nicely. Yes, it was another NOS purchase... a couple of years ago. It’s funny, the tritium compounds always seem to eat away at blue dials (and seemingly only blue) but this one is not too bad - it’s really only noticeable in photos, not in real life. It’s not a bad size either, about 38mm.

Thanks Gary.

I know you're partial to green dial watches and this, being a greenish grey, surely ticks that box.

It came on a mid-brown leather strap and, having played around with various grey straps trying to match the dial it just looks insipid, whereas darker straps bring it out with the contrast.

Unfortunately, the production run sold out last year but it has been replaced by a black dial version with bracelet in the NorthWind Watches line up.

PS> Whilst it has a 200m WR and timing markers for a dive watch, the bezel is nevertheless fixed.

Seiko today on my new footycrazy strap. I’m not yet decided whether My choice of colour is quite right but the strap itself is superb. The improvement from when he started is huge. Also amazing that such a thick strap can be so comfy. A couple of extra pics in the straps section.
I reckon this would have looked good on the orange faced version owned by a couple of our members

That may be the case, but the dial (and watch) looks superb. Oris have released some cracking blue dialled Aquises recently; that’s certainly one of them.
