Speedy... er... Sunday. Anyway, school holidays are upon us and that means the surf clubs start training the kids. All ages here today, fortunately for the tiny ones, the surf was pretty calm today.

Isn't it somewhat unusual to have Arabic numerals on a Speedy; I though most were straight forward Batons?

Thanks Guy. There are a few Speedys that have Arabics on them, most are “women’s” watches, although I’d be happy to wear most of the ones I’ve seen. This one was one of the models that has them; it’s a Japan only release, although not an LE. It was released as part of the men’s range though, which makes the Arabics a bit unusual; there is also an all black dial version, with the same guilloched dial and white rimmed hands.

The Arabic numerals make for a nice change and together with the white guilloche dial and very visible black hands, a few dashes of red ..and.. I couldn’t resist.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the calibre 1152, is basically a 7750, so it sometimes gets “the wobble”...
