Yes, bracelet was the biggest problem for me - could never really get it to sit right and the divers extension kept unclipping. H Samuel for me, so a bit closer to home, but bought in a sale, obviously!
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

My dynamic duo - same movement and both 36mm but that's where the similarity ends.

They wear very differently and obviously the sun burst dial sets the OP apart on first sight. There's almost 20 years between them so the OP bracelet has solid centre links and a milled clasp. The different hand set, bezel (flat on the Explorer vs domed on the OP), the OP with an ever so slightly bigger crystal and the differences in case size/shape (lugs) make them show their different character.

Where I'd say the Explorer is more refined/handsome, the OP is a bolder (more hefty) statement. The 3-6-9 on the Explorer are not lumed (just a line of white paint to give it the look).

The Explorer is being regulated at this moment to bring it back to the +/- 2 sec. per day it can do (was running within COSC).

The journey continues :D

Two fantastic watches. No doubt about it. Quite surprisingly it does look like the blue is just a touch bigger even tho both are 36mm.
I know the explorer would get the purist vote but I am still on the side of that blue dial with the lumed numerals I think.
Cheers now, Paul

It’s the domed bezel in combination with the wider lugs. As the dial reflects much more light it tends to appear bigger. It’s like the maxi case for the submariner.

It took me a long time but I’ve warmed up to Speedmasters in general. I think there is a FOIS in my future at some point..

I dig this beige dial and the 40 mm sizing. It’s hard to photograph the exact dial colour. Also love the red text and the concentric rings in the subdial. And the fat numbers in the subdial too.
