Picked up a pilot bracelet in the WatchGecko sale. Pretty good value for £16

Looks like a Datejust - which is what I thought it was at first glance. A great budget alternative!

Non CW of the Day

Post by gaf1958 »

Surf club competition this morning - both the beach and the walking path were much busier than usual.

Tudor time with the Grantour.

^^^^ Gary anyone looking at your recent non CW of the day pics would be forgiven for thinking that you keep reminding us:

- You are approaching your Summer, just as us Brits are heading for winter

- You have recently moved and now live rather close to a lovely beach! :)

Hope the move went smoothly.

Haha Neil,

It’s kind of a “sorry, not sorry” situation. Image I usually take my xxOTD pics on my morning walk, so yes, it reflects the lovely location.

The move is half done - that is, we are now living at the coast, but it’s a temporary rental location (half a block from the surf beach), while the apartment we’re buying is completed. That’s not likely to be until April next year (at the earliest), but it is only about 600 metres down the road, so the move will hopefully be easier, however the photo backgrounds will remain somewhat similar. Oh, yes, summer. It’s not approaching, I’d say it’s here. The only downside to our rental accommodation is no air conditioning - not really a problem during the day, as the sea breezes are wonderful, but because we can’t leave everything open at night, sleeping comfort is, shall we say, less than optimal...

Since putting this on a Jubilee bracelet I seem to end up wearing it more than most of my other watches. Probably because at 108g with bracelet it’s easy to forget I am wearing it. 18 months ago before I switched the black insert for a Pepsi I was going to sell it.

Thank Neil. I waited 2 years to get one but the AD honored the discount he offered me before they became impossible to find.

I love the gmt on the jubilee - classic look imho. I looked for a new 62600 or 63600 for a year and finally gave up and used that money for another watch getting delivered tomorrow.

Just got this limited edition Timex Marlin Snoopy edition, automatic, vintage feel, and already sold out. I got in there quick!

Probably a bit much adding the Omega Alligator strap to it haha.

Such a brilliant watch....I love everything about Snoopy and Peanuts and really want 1 of those. Must go to the Peanuts exhibition at Somerset House.

That's such a fine looking watch and a great price - Shame I've recently laid out for a Moonwatch.

As much as I love the Explorer I'm not sure I would if I had this already. I love the white face and hope to see one in the metal at an AD next week.
