Ah, I was wondering what they were for, on a desk diver!
I suppose opening it would increase the circumference, around the wrist, by a factor of 3.142? That would make it a "pie expansion point". Boom, Boom.

Excellent watch ... the bezel is superb on these.
Wish they also came in child sizes. I'd have one immediately.
41mm is on the small side for an aviation watch and just about the perfect size for me. I looked at the GMT version but 45mm is just too big. The bezel is very unique on these.

Got a good Horween red leather strap on my Magrette MPP Kara today. Need to get it bedded in and gain a bit of patina.

^^^ I tried one on this morning - the latest 39mm with lumed numerals. It is a great watch - does everything a person could need. Very tempting...

^^^^ Tyke mine is the older 36mm, however for what you are looking for the new 39mm version that Richard mentions would make a great “one watch”. The dial size on the 36mm is the same as on a 40mm Submariner. The 39mm has a dial almost 2mm larger, which would be a good size and not wear small.

I know some may say I am a Rolex fanboy, but for years I wouldn’t buy one - because they were Rolex. Once I got over that, I wear them because they are well made watches, that are highly reliable, long service intervals, good Rolex CS and appealing to your inner “Tyke” good value and value retention.

Thanks both of you, it's not a watch I'd ever really looked at simply because it's a Rolex. I will certainly go and have a look, it's the top end of budget given part of my funds is now going towards an e-bike for SWMBO  but not completely impossible if it grabs me. No experience at all of Rolex dealers, is it vulgar / pointless to mention discounts to them?

I ignored Rolex because of the whole Harry Enfield connotations, then tried one on and bingo it came home with me.

I have found that it is simply a comfortable, good looking, superbly built, reliable and extremely simple to read/use watch that is easily deserving of its accolades.

Try it, you may be surprised.

While discounts are unlikely, it doesn't hurt to ask! They will certainly not be offended. You can also try a grey dealer such as Iconic or a grey/preloved outfit such as Xupes. It will certainly save you a few quid!
