Re: Non CW of the Day
Picked this up in Lucerne on our honeymoon a few years ago, along with a similar one I gave to my best man. Wearing it today for a belated Valentine's dinner. Probably the best and last quartz I buy.

The Breitling I'm considering flipping. But now I think I like it too much:

That's because it looks ten times better on the wrist. I saw your pics in the other thread but seeing it here and being for your fortieth there is now way I could part with it.

Like that combo. What is going on with the bottom left lug? Is that part of the dehumidifying system?downer wrote:Trying out a Sinn/Bremont combo - Sinn 358 on Bremont Nubuck..

Yes, that is the drying capsule/indicator..castle wrote: Like that combo. What is going on with the bottom left lug? Is that part of the dehumidifying system?
Sinn wrote:1. The drying capsule
The drying capsule is the most important part of the Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. The capsule is filled with copper sulfate; this absorbs moisture from the air inside the case and binds it permanently. Copper sulfate turns increasingly blue as its water content rises; the shade serves as an indicator of the drying capsule's level of saturation (see diagram). The capsule features a small viewing window of sapphire crystal glass for this purpose.
