Ok. I admit a slight cheat as I bought this and tried it on and have decided to return for a refund as there are a few cosmetic marks on it that I am unhappy with. Struggling to let go of the watch though.

I liked the slate blue of the Maurice Lacroix and it was WELL reduced. I have another one on leather ordered to see if it is to my liking. This one had a ding on the side of the case and one of the hour batons didn't look quite right under loupe magnification. (I have never spent this amount of money on a watch so I was being really picky!)

I think we need to start a new thread. "Borrowed Non-CW of the Hour" Looks incredible.

Finally giving the Bremont a rest. She deserves it.

Lum-Tec M42 Phantom (ETA 2824-2), on a 1950 Brown DStrap (strap arrived today)
I think a really nice combination. Better then the standard Black strap, that comes with it.
But I better be .. for that kind of money

This came in the post today so has been on my wrist all evening:
I'm quite smitten with it, although it does seem to be gaining about 5 secs an hour
not quite COCS spec, but then it is over 40 years old

Probably needs servicing?!!
If it's not been done, it'll be running on dried up old oil!! Just picture running your car on the same stuff
