Thanks. It is a monument depicting whaling, so in a way Moby Dick as suggested by Dancematt is right. Norway was a major whaling nation, and the town of Sandefjord where the monument stands was central to the whaling industry.

Snorkeling today, the water is not as green as in the picture so looks a bit strange.. It's actually blueish green. A dive watch underwater is something we don't see often enough. :D
