I've just noticed it's arrived! What are your thoughts so far?
Very happy with it, fits great (looks much better in real life than the picture) love the dial colour, I've worn it everyday since I got it, might only need one watch after all

The customer service from nomos was brilliant ordered on Sunday arrived Tuesday morning. Great presentation box and overall package

Very sharp. Original strap?
No, it comes on a fitted anthracite strap to match the dial, but it was too small, so contacted Bremont who are swapping it for a long.

Happened to have a diModell chronissimo on the watch I was wearing, so swapped it over using the supplied Bremont tool!

Will stick it on a more suitable strap as soon as I go upstairs!!

Didnt think it was. I may phone them and ask them to have the vintage strap fitted instead. She did say there was a possibility of other straps from Bremont in exchange for the current one before sale.

Have now stuck it temporarily on a vintage grey strap. If you want to see it on the vintage Bremont strap, I will stick it on one tomorrow and upload here.

The original strap that it comes with is a perfect match and a wonderful strap. It also comes with the deployent, whereas the vintage comes with a normal clasp, if that matters to you.

The vintage is also fairly thick, but looks great.

If you cannot get the strap swapped over at the store, Bremont will normally swap it over for you if needed. (Can't guarantee, but they always have for me)

However, Beaverbrooks can also order straps in, so worst case, take a strap in when you collect the watch, swap it over there, leave the strap with them and they will order a replacement.

Here it is on the grey vintage.(non Bremont)

Top notch old boy.

How did I know you couldn't resist a bargain Bremont.

Did think for a moment yesterday, reading the dreaming thread, that you'd gone for one of the new three-hander.

Then I thought, no, never, it's only 40mm!

Do like the design myself though.

Why thank you kind sir!

Got to admit, i just can't help myself. Even wifey thought it was good value which was a nice surprise.

Still not as good value as your protochrono though

If the three handers were 43/45, then I would probably be tempted.

Now to resist the phantom version also in the sale.......

Lovely Ebel  The Lemania 8810 is an excellent movement used in some very high end brands . It was bought from Longines in the late 80's where it was the cal.L990 . I do know that Breguet use the 8810 as a tractor for their complications . The Ebel is a gorgeous watch , thanks for posting .
Thank you. The only thing I "hate" about them is the proprietary straps. Not necessarily the fact that they are very expensive. The problem is when you have a small wrist, like I have, and you fit a new Ebel strap. I goes crazy on the lug ends with strap ends bending and going up, which results in a way too short life for that strap.
Other than that, great under evaluated watches. I am referring here to older models fitted with Girard-Perregaux, Frederic Piguet and Lemania movements, not the current ETA models.

Not sure if this was my first watch but is probably at least 30 years old. I think I had this when I was in college.

Case size 36mm, bezel size 32mm and looks a bit small on my wrist compared to my other 41 - 44mm watches. Non-hacking automatic movement and still runs.

This is a watch that can grow on one. It is very beautiful, what could have been merely odd. Everything about it works together, and even the fonts and numerals image the flowing case design. Sort of the molten school of design, but with more vigor than mere melt The swelling around the crown, mirrored at the opposite side for balance, and the organic approach of the lugs to the strap are really lovely. Damn the quick wearing strap! The polished bezel against the brushed case, dotted with screws, and that one missing screw over the crown just adds interest... a work of art.
