Lovely green sunburst, lovely brass/gold hands and elements. I've tried twice to love the Alpinist: it is a cracking watch but I just want it 1 or 2mm bigger.

Did you see the programme on BBC recently about getting the whale installed where it is? Completely fascinating.

Re: Non CW of the Day
^^^^ Yes I did Guy. It's partly what prompted our visit, as we are up for something this evening and thought we would make a day of it.
Good to see the whale, but a bit of a school boy error visiting in the school holidays and at the height of the tourist season. Wifey kept muttering we should have gone to the V&A instead and saved the NHM for a visit with the grandchildren.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Yeah, I felt the same way, so I gave my first SARB017 away as a very nearly unused gift. But I came to regret not having it, so after about two years (or so) fighting the urge; I ordered a new one. And an OEM bracelet to go with it:tikkathree wrote:Lovely green sunburst, lovely brass/gold hands and elements. That bracelet has made all the difference for me psychologically. No more qualms about it being just a smidge too small for my 7.25 inch (18.5cm) wrist. It's become kind of my go-to workday watch now.

Yes, I agree completely Guy but it's got a white face just like my wannabe explorer so I'll have to go with that angleBahnstormer_vRS wrote:Very smart, except it looks more like a Yachtmaster surely?reggie747 wrote:Davosa Ternos to sate my 16570 Explorer desire for the time being.
