Was thinking the same. One of Watchgecko's new offerings.stefs wrote:Pretty sure thats the watchgeko. They have some really good looking watches at great prices. Been tempted myself by the zenithy one they dogaf1958 wrote:Very nice Chris. Judging by the crown and the dial, I'd say it's a Stowa? But is the blue dial an LE?
Edit: I had a second look at the hands and I've realised it's not a Stowa, something another look at the crown (straight, not onion shaped) also confirms... It's doesn't seem to be an Archimede either, so, I've no idea what it is really!

Yip, Stefs nailed it. It's the Watchgecko K1 in 40mm. Bought many a strap from them over the years and have always been impressed so thought I'd give one of their watches a go. It's canny for the price.

Really don't mind putting this on at the beginning of the day, but I'm starting to miss my C60 whilst it's back at CW.

Haven't said it yet so I'll say it now. This is my favourite watch on this forum. Absolutely love it. Perhaps one day...gwells wrote:

Non CW of the Day
Been away for a bit and only have one new acquisition in all that time:
I had an Alpinist before, but it never clicked with me. I let it go to a better home a couple of years ago, but recently found the listing for the bracelet and decided to order a replacement SARB017 not long afterward. The bracelet (Seiko OEM for the SARB015) makes all the difference.
It gives me something akin to the look of my Milgauss on the wrist, but without the worries or horror if I rap it against a door jam!
This is the Seiko part number in case anybody is interested (SeiyaJapan.com gave excellent service BTW):

if you do want one, you'll need to figure out how to cobble it together since it's modded (gray bezel swapped for OEM white bezel). but it's definitely doable.
