Non CW of the Day

I tried one of these on in Las Vegas last month (used, but looked like new). It was on a bracelet, and probably the biggest reason I didn't buy it was that the bracelet was probably one link too tight - and no spares.

Lovely watch though ... and as the photo shows it looks good on leather too.

Thanks, I wanted something a bit different.

That's interesting about the bracelet Gary.

I understand that this limited edition was only supplied with a leather strap. It was part of the reason I added it, I couldn't get on with the Breguet bracelets. Oh, and I didn't like the current similar one with the date window.
I was lucky to find this at an AD tucked away a few weeks ago. After researching, I pottered back and got it.

Just having a few straps made now, the one supplied, although looks great, does taper a little thin for me at the deployment.

Wow that's BLUE

Really rather nice.

I've switched over to my Dan Henry 1963 on a Vintage racing strap for this evening.

Thanks Guy- the blue is definitely a summertime watch. The face does look a lot darker when not reflecting sunlight.

I saw a DH 1963 in the flesh the other day. Very nicely made- and I love the smooth chrono hand movement.

Ah-ha... the penny drops Dave. The one I tried on did indeed have the date squeezed in (at 4:30 I think) - missed that when I looked at your pic. Looking at it again now, the lack of a date does make it look quite a bit better than the one I tried on. I was going to forgive that little foible, as it was a lovely watch in all other ways. Colour me jealous :)

In any case, the green Oris Sixty-Five I picked up instead was muuuch cheaper... my wallet was happier.

OK, I do admit I have the 1917 limited pilot on order for me to check out.
