That is one sweet watch Nick, Congratulations mate.
First impressions ?
First impressions are extremely good. Strangely it came with an alligator Strap which is rather redundant on a "sports" watch. I therefore threw it on a chronissimo which seems to suit it better.
The quality seems well above its price point, and in many ways it reminds me of my Planet Ocean, but it has one huge advantage. Because it only has a water resistance of a perfectly useable and reasonable 100m, the weight is hugely reduced when compared to the 600m PO.
Due to the additional module to make it a "True" GMT, the date is rather sunk in the dial, but again it is not a major issue.
I am hugely impressed and rather gutted that I missed out on the chrono that was available as well.
The dial, bezel, printing etc are pin sharp and beyondwhat is usual at this price point.
I am rather pleased!
Thanks Guy. This is a far more useable watch than the c9 and should see much more wrist time.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Plus one.MiniMpi wrote:You Jammy b****rd !

Probably good job you did get the C9 white.

There is somewhat of an overlap with ze tooly German, but they should work well together.

I'll try and take a look at one at an AD when I get chance. Seems to be quite a few heavily discounted Alpinas on eBay, but probably not with the official warranty.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

After missing out on a couple of chances to get this Alpina burgundy bezel diver, I've finally got a brand new one coming...

That looks like an excellent new acquisition. I will be interested to hear your thoughts. The raised indeces in the bezel are fairly unique.audio.bill wrote:After missing out on a couple of chances to get this Alpina burgundy bezel diver, I've finally got a brand new one coming...
