Tricky one Kevin and appreciate your point of view.kevin_b1 wrote:Sorry Guy honestly prefer the bracelet.

One factor is the strap is 'straight' not 'tapered' and, arguably, the size/height of the Pepsi suggests tapered will be better.
Anyway, thought I'd try it out.
Colour is Vintage Green, beautifully thick and soft (bit like CWL's Tiber strap, but half the price).
Got a couple of other straps on order from Watchgecko; we'll see how they go.

Re: Non CW of the Day
I understand where your coming from starting to feel that way about the SARB017 (minus the bit about the hands) I've spent the last few weeks pondering some sales even got the listings written up just not gone over the line of posting them yet! Good luck with the sale when it's upDancematt wrote:Not really but that's because it's going up for sale. I wore it too much so I wasn't wearing anything else but at the same time I wasn't massively happy about the hands. Without the skx I'm back into a sort of watch rotation. Odd to sell something i was so taken with but It was the only one I wanted to wear so either I sell the collection or I sell it.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Cheers Neil,
It's my current go to weekend relaxing watch. During the week the Longines 1969 is my current go to watch. Both great recent additions.

Re: Non CW of the Day
This Oris is very frustrating to take photos of. The colour in bright sunlight is just stunning, but take a photo and it's a very pale imitation of the real thing. Still, this is probably the best shot I've taken so far, but it's still nothing like real life. This shot is what it actually looks like in anything *other* than bright sunlight...

Steinhart have a fantastic array of straps, mostly available in small / medium / large. This is a medium at a generous 80/125 (same as CWL).
I have one niggle with it though. How often do you get a strap that is a tad too tight on one notch, and a tad too loose on the next one? Well, this is one of those.
Doubly frustrating as I bought a polished Steinhart buckle to go with it.
I know the cure, other than putting up with it, which is to fit a slightly shorter buckle. Must do some research.

Re: Non CW of the Day
You beat me to the answer, as that's what I typically do. Shorter or longer buckle often works. I keep a variety of spare buckles for just that reason. One that I find often works is the Hirsch sport buckle. It's not only slightly shorter than most buckles, it sits at the perfect angle so that the buckle sits with no gap against the strap (nothing to catch on pockets etc). Watch Obsession sell them as separate items. Can't guarantee it'll work, but they're a good buckle and I have them on the majority of my leather straps...Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:I have one niggle with it though.
