Deliberating over purchasing this version or the Pepsi colour Padi version. I've found the Padi for £125 cheaper than the Blue Lagoon but then I see yours and well, that gorgeous colour just woos me, but then, £125 is £125. Decisions, decisions?FloridaPhil wrote:

I already have a Pepsi SKX009 'Pepsi' and did consider the PADI Turtle but decided they were too similar to have both. Now that I have experienced a Turtle and realise how much smaller it wears than the 45mm case would suggest, I might well sell my SKX (no hand winding or hacking) and get either the PADI or just a plain jane Pepsi replacement such as the SRP779 or SRP789.
Must say that the Blue Lagoon is really nice and the bracelet is much better than previous Seiko bracelets I have experienced (although not a patch on a Strapcode). I managed to find mine for only $308 which is still the lowest price I have seen for them. The dial is really nice in a vintage 1977 way!

Re: Non CW of the Day
I took this in trade and despite its size (45mm x 53mm) I'm quite smitten.
It's got some heft I wasn't expecting, and the dial is beautiful. Even the carbon-effect strap feels quality. And it's a lovely set, with a proper box, spare velcro strap and tool.
Hmmm, I was intending on moving it straight on but I don't know now.

Great shots IAJ, they really show the clarity of the dial. It'sAliveJim wrote:I took this in trade and despite its size (45mm x 53mm) I'm quite smitten.

Good also to see it on the original carbon strap. There have been a few 'don't like' and 'uncomfortable' comments about it but I reckon its just because its slightly stiff and needs a good period of wearing in.
Hoping you'll hang onto it for a while.
