Yep and would only have been £32 if I hadn't wanted the black insert back.
There is a lot to be said for these old school non ceramic versions.

So nice of them to make you pay for something you already own!
I miss all the great things that may never be.

I guess that's one way of looking at it! I prefer the view that a like for like bezel swap; I.e. I go in with a scratched bezel that I have no use for and ask for a replacement that someone spends 20-30 minutes fitting would have cost me about £32 - I walk out with a new and my mint original for £56.
Seems a bargain given a mechanics typical charge out rate for lifting your car bonnet and somewhat less than my charge out rate when I worked.

Thanks scooter. I am currently thinking that a reasonable £56 for a while you wait bezel insert swap and keeping the black original insert has been my best value for money watch related expenditure in a long while.
It is good isn't it.
I actually paid £36 for a new insert from RSC back in March 2015.
I didn't want the old one back as I consider wabi highly over rated. Who needs to be constantly reminded of banging your watch against a a wooden strut underneath my desk when fixing it?
Appreciate your circumstances are totally different as you now have two different looks.
