I, nordwulf, solemnly swear I am wearing this Oris watch on the 4th day of February in the year 2017. This picture was taken today just half an hour ago. This statement is true and correct tot he best of my knowledge and further proof can be provided with a copy of today's national newspaper or screenshot of a website if so required.

See, that wasn't so hard was it!

Cracking Oris.

Cheers Nick.

Don't know why but I haven't worn this as much as my JSAR; possibly because last summer I picked up a fairly noticeable scratch on the dial.

It was a straight edge from 8 to 10 (approx 12-15mm) with the wide series of scratches going off left to the edge of the dial, as if I'd caught it against the edge of a brick or something. Quite noticeable but couldn't get a photo of it. Looking close up there were also a myriad of fine feather scratches all over the dial as well.

Got the Cape Cod out yesterday and in no more than 10 minutes the crystal was, even under a loupe, virtually unmarked. Benefits of an acrylic crystal.

S'pose technically Cap Cod is only for the case, but you're polishing a smooth surface so why wouldn't it work on an acrylic /plastic crystal? Besides I've got some in my bedside drawer.

I used to use Duraglit/Brasso wadding on the crystal of my 1980s Seiko, in the days when I had that in the house for other jobs, and it worked a treat.

Hi Kevin, use 1200 grade wet and dry paper dry on the glass, it will create a very fine powder that will fill in the other scratches once u use polywatch on the powder. I always wipe over the crystal the next day (so it's all settled) with polywatch. Makes a nice shine.
I miss all the great things that may never be.
