Non CW of the Day

Post by gaf1958 »

Two months overseas holiday coming up next year, so rather than pick a watch to take, I bought one specifically for the job. Lightweight titanium, solar powered, sapphire crystal, quick adjust clasp on the bracelet plus a favourite of mine - a green dial. The complete one watch holiday solution and tough as old boots to boot.
Also cheap enough that if something happened to it, I would be tooo heartbroken.

Sure is... Last year I took a similar Citizen BM6401-58E to South and Central America for a couple of months. It's stainless (heavier) but I wore it on a rubber strap as the bracelet has no on the fly adjustment - which offsets the weight, mineral crystal which picked up some minor scratches, but it performed beautifully.
Next year we're doing a two month road trip in the US, mostly the mid west, but we start off in Dallas Texas, head to New Orleans then (indirectly) up to Tennessee to visit our son, then head west. Flying out of SF directly home.
Here last years trip winner...
