Ah good man. Jura sale bargain perchance?

I had it in my basket and then thought better of it. I shall wait for a white dial, blue barrel MBII in their next sale. :)

Ooh, the Jura sale has caused all sorts of ructions.

There were many raised voices and much grumpiness on the Bremont Forum from those who had paid 5 grand plus for a newly released LTD edition watch only a few weeks before. (And quite rightly so!!) (A/C and Boeing ltd editions were the only two watches in the sale)

Bremont was then contacted.

The "Brothers" who do not like their watches discounted, have apparently had a word with Jura, watches went straight back to full price, orders of the sale watches were cancelled, and chaos has generally reigned! :)

All jolly good fun.

Cheers Bern. It is the 43mm trip tick case, still hardened, but polished.

I got fed up waiting for the Longines that never could be found, and thought what the heck!!!

Nice one Nick. 43mm is small for you?

I'll have to check my Bremont book to see the purpose of the two crescents at 12 o'clock. :curious:

Meanwhile, had my Marathon Jumbo Diver on today, with its new Super Engineer bracelet. Did a load of digging this afternoon and finished up with a black wrist where the bracelet had flexed and worn off the rough edges.

Quick rinse under the cold tap with a nail brush cleaned it all up.

It's a 5 minute countdown timer for when one is on ones yacht at the start of the race.

Maybe it will also work for a well done no longer runny poached egg as well.

Hi Guy,

I wore the mbii for a while, and am now appreciating the 43mm case again.

This wears larger than the mb as it does not have the internal bezel, so the dial appears larger on the wrist. The silver dial has an impact too.

The chrono movement is also a bit taller which helps, as does the module added to the movement for the regatta countdown timer (this is what the 2 crescents are for)

I am not convinced that the polished case will prove as hardy as the normal brushed one, though I do like the heat blued hands.

The Marathon looks amazing on that bracelet by the way! How is the weight when on the strap?

Got two natos from Watchgecko - one rubber nato and one seatbelt nato, both great (thanks Guy). I was very skeptical of the idea of a rubber nato but this is just so well done that I have to get another one (or two). Super thin, flexible and comfortable.

Picture shows seatbelt nato, and a cool case I also got in today for my phone.
