I would agree, very close yet so overlooked they are cheap. Yep 5601 - no date means no plastic date adjuster = super reliable movement.

Thanks. To me it's the dial that elevates a GS (and in the case of Spring Drive models the movement). Case finishing is good, but I don't think the polished or brushed surfaces are really any better than some other brands.

Of course. Finishing doesn't begin & end solely with the case - the facets & polishing of the indices, hands, dial furniture etc. are part of the greater picture.
