Non CW of the Day

Post by gaf1958 »

What's that you say? No I hadn't seen it before either... it was waiting for me when I got home. To be truthful, I was waiting for Footy to sell me his, but I figured that was never going to happen as he likes it way too much for my own good ;) so I had to buy my own... It also has the leather strap.

You've played a blinder there Gary, bringing that one in under the radar. Absolutely top notch.

Looks spot on for size too.

And, yes, I don't think Footycrazy would let his go any time soon, as he told me that if ever his collection went down to one watch, it would be the Damasko.

^^^ Looks great. I have also been mulling over a DAxx purchase. Can't decide which configuration would be the best fit in my collection...

I've been kicking myself for not buying it when I had the opportunity, so I eventually contacted Gnomon about it and I've spent about 5 or 6 weeks patiently waiting for it to arrive... Quicker than the 5 or 6 months I'd been waiting for Footy to flip his

Wow! Does it come with a bi-metal bracelet?
Yes but sadly it's completely rubbish, pulls hairs and hollow end links. Was a git to remove too (but to add- awesome little leather roll for packaging from Squale):

Have been looking for a thin 38mm diver for some time and have seen these before (the steel version sold out 2 years ago) but never pulled the trigger because of the sub look however recently I've been looking into the Heuer 1000 and thought it bang on, this is the same case and bezel that was used. It fits so well :)
I miss all the great things that may never be.

I'd keep it if I was you, do you find the gap between the lugs and case is noticeable when your wearing it?
