So, you got one then, Mark? What's the story?
A mixture of circumstances that occur on only a few occasions.

1. One of the required sales occurs during the night.
2. We find and visit a rolex dealer close to home.
3. Dealer and owner very nice.
4. Wife likes dealer and shop.
5. Dealer happens to wear the same watch
6. I like the GMT much more than i thought.
7. Dealer sold this watch originally im 2008 so excellent provenance.
8. Watch came back from a Rolex service 2 weeks ago.
9. Watch is mint.
10. Watch a good price.
11. Dealer made me a promise to buy it back in 2 years with a maximum loss of £200
12. The good lady said do it and was genuinely happy for me to do so.
13. The good lady liked a watch of mine for once.

For me the watch just jumped out at me. It is a little heavier than I would say is ideal but it feels so well put together and solid.

The idea is to use this as my everyday watch, with the OP as my more casual watch as required.

Sorted.

To enable this the Heuer and the JS do have to go and soon.

Congratulations Sabbath. Dont think I'd need 'nother watch if I'd a GMT Master II. The black-green is very versatile and goes with everything.

^^^congratulations Mark  and at least if you do want to move it on you have a backstop.

It is interesting that a chap who prefers straps and formerly lukewarm on Rolex has ended up with 2 (some would say 3) of 4 that are: a) best on a bracelet and b) Rolex!

Neil

PS: I think out of what you have had in the last 2 years it's the 4 I would have chosen.

PPS: My wife who normally has no interest in watches liked the last AD I took her in because they gave her a glass of fizz and a bottle to take away. She now sort of shows more interest - except I still have to set her watches!

I must admit it is rather odd - its good in a way that I have retried styles and brands to end up as I have.

I have ended up wiith three bracelet watches - go figure.

Mark, I am really happy for you. Well, this definitely is a keeper... but I have said this before. Oh, just enjoy the watch and wear it.

Great quote Andreas.

It is a keeper - in my very round about way I have been building to this...

TinTin Speedy on a morning that can't decide if it's going to be bright sunshine or a downpour. Trying it on a Steveo Straps black cherry, but I'm not sure if it's the right strap, it's a bit on the shiny side for my tastes.

I left my C11 extreme for my Panris...

China made, a 6497 - 1 Unitas clone "homage" with + 3 sec. day accuracy like a COSC watch! 316 stainless steel case, bad water resistance, no real swan neck regulator, no sapphir front glass but generally heavy construction
