I will try and have a look at some straps in a Nomos AD at the weekend and compare the colours.dopefish wrote:Yea I feel the same. Mine has obviously been worn - some of the clasp holes have widened etc., and as I intend to use it as a dress watch the worn/faded strap will stand out. I don't mind "nearly new" or display models, however I was firmly assured that it was a brand new watch when I asked the sales person.downer wrote:^^^ Think I would be asking Jura for a new strap or a partial refund. The watches were not sold as seconds or shop-soiled (or even nearly new), so they should be perfect IMO.

Re: Non CW of the Day
So many new Nomos on the forum... The Metro is a watch that I'd like to add to my collection one day. Oh, I still haven't got a Tangente... and no Ahoi... no Lamda or Lux either.
Re the black strap. The watches at my AD that sit in the shop window and are exposed to sunlight show signs of bleached straps and then the black really looks brown. Usually the buckle side is affected depending on how they are presented. One time I made them order a new strap for me before buying the watch. But then again, I always need the shorter strap. It seems as if the straps are quite prone to bleaching. But you could also see this as adding character.

Ah, I see. The 1553 is comprised of a NOS case, bezel, and dial, but with new hands and a new ETA quartz movementateague wrote:It's just not one I've seen on a Squale before. Is this an older model?

It's so comfortable because it comes on a Bonetto Cinturini 'vanilla' rubber strap and the case is about 5mm high.

I like that a lot - i asked the good lady to let me buy that one from Jura - but she said NO. From my experience of the original straps is that they are all a bit different and age somewhat. Gives them some character.dopefish wrote:
