Day two with Mr Ludwig. :D

According to the Nomos website:
"This is a watch for people who like to wear Budapest shoes, enjoy listening to Bach, or who find a crackling fireplace more enticing than socks with a Mickey Mouse pattern. It’s also perfect for people who want (or need) to add a touch of seriousness to their wild lifestyle."

1. Yes 2. Oh, yes 3. Mhmm, not so sure about this one 4. Well, I wouldn't tell you, but actually my life is quite boring.

I think that when I read this, I knew I had to get one.

..... Most of the time it's Bowie not Bach for me and I gave up any semblance of a wild lifestyle many years ago, even though my wife sometimes still tells me to act my age. I do however have a dislike for cartoon socks. :)

pS: if I hadn't decided not to buy anymore I would be keeping an eye out for a GS now that I know Jura are an AD (providing it was in the sale :) ).
I just received my Ludwig from Jura as well! Great looking watch, however I share your concern about the strap - it's VERY faded/worn. And mine in a quite uneven fashion, the clasp side is almost a light brown in the direct light, while the holed side is somewhere in the dark brown-black range.

Will try and upload photos later :)

Mine is also more faded on the 12 clasp side. I think it's a black strap. Definitely has black stitching. I have checked the colour of the straps on the Nomos store and there isn't a great difference in colour between black and brown.

^^^ Think I would be asking Jura for a new strap or a partial refund. The watches were not sold as seconds or shop-soiled (or even nearly new), so they should be perfect IMO.

Originally ordered the Ahoi but had to send it back as it was scratched quite badly on the front and back of case.
Decided to pick up a Metro instead, and wow it is stunning.

Yea I feel the same. Mine has obviously been worn - some of the clasp holes have widened etc., and as I intend to use it as a dress watch the worn/faded strap will stand out. I don't mind "nearly new" or display models, however I was firmly assured that it was a brand new watch when I asked the sales person.

Mine doesn't look as if the strap has been worn - it's more about how black are Nomos black straps supposed to be. I will try and have a look at some straps in a Nomos AD at the weekend and compare the colours.

Wonder if they sat in a sunlit display window in a way that faded some of the strap.
