It's a double-mechanism, Gary.
The watch is powered by a GP inhouse movement, a 3370, and the stopwatch is bought in (custom made) from another manufacturer, so is a bit like two mechanisms stuck together. It isn't particularly thick (much less than my C60). It is a very well decorated movement in the 'flesh'.

Ahh, that explains it Steve. Longines and Omega have both done a similar thing, no doubt other makers have as well. Still, the jewel count is staggering.
