Yeah, I have a bagful of 22mm and 20mm straps. I was pretty sure the Zenith was 22 until I tried a strap against it. Of course, on closer inspection, the clue was there... 21 stamped on the back of the Zenith strap.KLR_Redux wrote:downer wrote:El Primero Wednesday...
I was all set to change the strap today, until I discovered this one is 21mm. Oh well.
Orient GMT is a 21mm also. Still rocking the bracelet, but have some 21mm NATOs that are waiting for their day. I find the lug width an odd choice.

Can't you get 22s on it? My Balls wear 22s without any probs, and the JR wears 26 on 25 lugs?downer wrote:Yeah, I have a bagful of 22mm and 20mm straps. Stiff shouldered straps can be difficult to squeeze on though.

My plan was to try the blue Hirsch Tiger, but I was concerned that if I managed to force it on, I'd never get it off again. Those performance straps are pretty rigid (widthways) due to the rubber backing.smegwina wrote: Can't you get 22s on it? My Balls wear 22s without any probs, and the JR wears 26 on 25 lugs?

I agree though, many 22 straps would easily squeeze down to 21.

Only the ones without quick-release pins (from experience). You can use a flexible 20 or a beefy 20.downer wrote:My plan was to try the blue Hirsch Tiger, but I was concerned that if I managed to force it on, I'd never get it off again. BTW, for everyone else: two of the watches in my signature were gifts from Boydesian.

Its a Seiko 6309 mod, but I want to return the watch however, the seller is not very agreeable. According to him, specs of dust on the dial of a used watch (not disclosed before) is perfectly reasonable. I do have Paypal protection, and might need to use it for the first time. It'sAliveJim wrote:SKX 007 or 009?blowfish89 wrote:New arrival today. Guess what.

Depends what price you got it for but if it were a bargain I'd just open the caseback and blow the dial. Gives you a chance to put some real seals in it/ check movements condition. Honestly I don't think he's messed you over. Vintage watch...specs of dust/ lume, it's nothing.blowfish89 wrote:Its a Seiko 6309 mod, but I want to return the watch however, the seller is not very agreeable. Re: Non CW of the Day
Nah, its a modded watch, the person who did a mod did it shoddily, so not the seller's fault really. But it should still have been disclosed. I think it might be cheaper and quicker to go to my local watchmaker and have him fix it, this should be a quick job I guess.Dancematt wrote:Depends what price you got it for but if it were a bargain I'd just open the caseback and blow the dial. Re: Non CW of the Day
Does it require a loupe to see or is it painfully obvious? I could see making that mistake- I rarely notice dial stuff. For me it was a hazy residue on the Pepsi Mako when I bought it. That was like a beacon calling my attention to it.

I can learn to live with it, I actually like the watch as a whole and it didn't cost much.KLR_Redux wrote:Does it require a loupe to see or is it painfully obvious?
