Re: Non CW of the Day
A new thing for me here... This is the first time I've ever had one of my Speedys on a leather strap; they usually sit on bracelets.
A great watch needs a great strap, so I've fitted a CWL alligator on a Bader to it. I think it looks pretty good...
But then again a Speedy looks good on anything

Yep, once in a while I dream of getting a 38mm El Primero.gwells wrote:i tried on the 38mm version of the el primero back in june and really liked it....
But I don't think I'm serious or determined enough about it for it to be a true grail.
More like wishful daydreaming.

Re: Non CW of the Day
Occasionally I wonder if I should have chosen the 38, but on balance I'm happy with the 42. The watch is very well balanced and relatively slim for a chronograph, so it fits comfortably, and I prefer the date at 6.
Apart from some trepidation at the likely servicing cost, I think this is a long-term keeper. The bonus is that it is just about my most accurate watch. I keep it on a winder, and never seem to have to adjust it between the (roughly) fortnightly usage.

the date at 6 is really the only thing i think the 38mm doesn't do well.
