Dave, welcome to the club club. Enjoy the Nomos (actually my favourite, so don't listen to the people who don't like the long horns... It is a perfect watch!).

Enjoy your Nomos!

And (with reference to Director65 in his Spitfire watch thread - didn't want to derail it) the Nomos alpha movement is a handwound movement with a hacking sub-seconds hand.

EDIT: oops. This has the date ring so it's not alpha. Nevertheless, their handwounds hack.

Thanks Neil. I also like the anthracite color, but went for honey in the end as I wanted it more casual and the honey looks similar to the bronze Arabic numbers on the Stowa. One of the reasons I wanted this strap is because its very thick, almost Panerai-style, which suits the watch I picked it for. These thick straps are comfy, but harder to take off, so I just find that leaving it on the wrist is a better idea :)

Thanks Andreas!! It is a super watch.

As with the horns - always respect other peoples opinions, always go with what's right for me

Thanks, I was really surprised when I tried it on yesterday - and yes, the sub seconds do hack - funny enough, had to explain that yesterday.
