My vote goes to the Stowa. It's more versatile and just a beautiful design IMO. I like the Eterna, but it wouldn't jump off the shelf at me like the Stowa would .

Agreed with Scooter; keep the Stowa.

Besides 72 hours ago you put the Eterna up For Sale for '24 hours before I return it'. It's not sold so should be in the post.

Personally, I would keep the Eterna. Although the Stowa is a lovely watch it is too tall IMHO, whereas the proportions of thr Eterna look just right, as well as its unique dial.

Guy - I think Om ended up with two Eternas after seeing a better deal after buying the first one, hence was selling the spare on here.

I agree - the 1938 is a little too thick and 'polished' and appears even more so due to the case profile, maybe I should have ordered the matte case. The Eterna is pretty slim and with the smoking deal I got on it, its staying for sure, I can get all my money back on this one when needed. I'm keeping the 1938 for a month or so and will reconsider again at that time. Its tempting because I have the opportunity to do almost an even trade for a fully tegimented Sinn U1 by giving up the 1938. But the U1 would be a weight shock after wearing the Shogun for a week. Stowa's prettier and my only watch with a decorated displayback but the U1 will probably get more wrist time. I am not increasing the size of my collection anymore so one in one out.

I've just picked up one of these from Sales Corner (thank you Robert75). I reckon it's going to the perfect holiday watch

For today it's this:
