Cracking watch! At first glance, it looks like a pvd Bremont MBii. Like it a lot.

Cheers Nick. It is rather nice, and has survived my recent ruthless cull of watches!smegwina wrote:Cracking watch! At first glance, it looks like a pvd Bremont MBii. Like it a lot.Tooks wrote:Smiths Seafire
Snip...
Wouldn't be worth much used, and I need a watch to wear I don't have to worry about, and this fitted the bill!
Ideal number of watches in your collection = current number of watches + 1...

Re: Non CW of the Day
Well the online manual describes it as
"analogue quartz watch equipped with an Automatic Generating System developed by SEIKO"
To my way of thinking it's a quirky transition between automatic and quartz. Last week I had one kinetic Seiko and now I have two courtesy of an impulse on EBay.
Also I like the similar quirkiness of the dial layout with the time display forming just a small part of the whole face. And I like the dial per se.
I need to give it a bit more jiggy to establish whether or not it's holding a charge or whether it needs to go back. I'm surprised that a day in the post hasn't charged the watch fully but it was very well bubble-wrapped.

Re: Non CW of the Day
^^^^^^^^^^ I used to have this watch about 6 years ago. It takes a lot of side to side swinging to get it fully charged. Probably in the region of 1000 swings or more and WILL make your arm ache.
Have fun.
Yet another day with the Ranger on Zuludiver camo.
