I missed my old Magrette MPP All Black (sold on here) so much, I bought one of the last few remaining. I've been wearing it since collecting from parcelforce this morning!

Tonight at the ballet. Not really the best light:

Although we were promised a cracking show (the nutcracker), we decided to leave earlier. Music from a CD way too loud , and well, we both don't like ballet. What a pity that there isn't a subscription without the ballet. This was our last try though .

This is my long-owned, one-watch man watch, my Panda Seiko Flightmaster 4-subdial chrono.

I've owned it oh ten, fifteen years if not longer. It's now on its fourth strap. It's been back to Seiko UK at least twice for new batteries, new main crown & stem, service, the total bill for which is more than the watch was worth new and now. I'd planned to pop it back on EBay with a strong price with service receipts, box, manuals but actually I can't bring myself to wave it off. Besides it has an alarm function which I do use occasionally and prefer to use my watch for rather than my phone. A rub with Cape Cod has brought the old boy up to sparkle again.

If I'm keeping my Vanwall C60 COSC and my C6 IRR I can make space for another quartz watch on the shelf so it's staying here until time with me shall be no more.

A day of two halfs for me.

Morning was great - pleasant drive to Brighton to buy a new car. :D

Journey back was hellish - 3 hours to get to east London crawling on the M25 and then walking pace through the Blackwall Tunnel. That's 3 hours to drive 59 miles :(

Wearing this (old pic)
