Got to love a good B&R.

Brand new official strap will almost certain give this watch more wrist time

Only 10 ever made in this sterile case (before they started engraving them of which there is a backlog of orders) so I was told today.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

5th straight day (pic taken 2 days ago).
Timekeeping: Either loses 5-6 secs/day or loses 10-12 secs/day (depending on whether I let it sit on the desk or wear it overnight), still settling down - avg around -8sec/day

I had a bit of a doubt about the PR of the Damasko, but it lasted 43 hours in a test over the weekend
My doubt was because I was manually winding the Damasko, and it won't stop winding - even after around 200 turns. It could still be wound further. I left it there, and it lasted for a good length so no problems. Timekeeping on the Damasko is stellar though, within +0 to +2 sec/day.

The Halios Tropik SS bezel is easier to turn now as well that I am getting used to it. Still much harder than my other watches, and difficult to grip because of the narrow/slippery bezel teeth. I also thought the bezel pip was a bit to the right of the 12 o' clock marker but its likely just OCD.

What a beauty from Iceland, Dancematt!

Today I wore this:

Tomorrow I will have to wear this until Friday:

The school outing of our music department (orchestra, big band and choir) is begging for something that tells the time at one glance at night:

The Mondaine Night Vision is the best watch for this job  :D. But I might take another vintage watch with me.

They are all very nice, but.

I am afraid that you have not done your homework!

We want to know why Mondaine. What are the details?

This is not a review!

:D:P;)

(By the way, they really are cracking watches!)

Ok.... The Mondaine Night Vision is part of the extended line. It has got tritium tubes that glow in the dark, hence the name "night vision". I prefer the black version over the white version as the tubes only reveal their shining beauty at night. Why did I decide to get this watch? Well, I really like the classic railroad watch design (and go by train every day). The red second hand can easily be recognised as a classic feature of Swiss railroad watches alluding to the tool that train guards use to singnal that the train is about to leave the station, and the iconic design even was copied by Apple for its clocks on the different iDevices and the company had to pay dearly for it...

Is that enough?

P.S.: Sometimes I don't like the British sense of humour .
I should have copied this:

You're welcome, but I should have written "radiant beauty" instead of "shining beauty" :kopfwand:. I am not very good at English puns. :D
