I put a new NOS Tropik on it last night but when I pulled the strap to take it off the buckle pin disintegrated, probably due to it sitting in a damp warehouse since the 60s

Anyway, Omega buckle ordered and umming and aaring over whether to fork out for the 1120/633 bracelet :?

Some of you may think I'm mad to exchange the SMP for an SM300 but I've hankered after one of these for a while and one came up so I had to grab it.
Welcome to the club mate!

Each of us will face this question at least once in a year.

Thanks Clarky, and I think it might need one of your excellent vintage straps :D

I'll be in touch

Back to this today for me. Not a bad snap for an iPhone if I do say so myself.

Peteo wrote:Looks great! Would you mind sharing your first impressions? I'm very curious about this watch, especially since it's the first model with the new Nomos escapement, and have watched the Worn & Wound review a few times over the last few days.
My first impression is I like it. :-) The dial is small by modern standards but the layout actually appears spacious and balanced despite the somewhat uneven layout of the date, seconds, power reserve and logo. I really like the style and length of the hands too; the tips are very precise and line up perfectly with the appropriate markers. The case is suitably slim although I’d say it’s slightly thicker than the Tangente Gangreserve I tried recently. My only negative so far is that the crown, although excellently finished, is a little too thin for my liking. All-in-all I think this is a great example of Nomos’ work even though it’s a departure from their usual style.
Viognier wrote:Exhibition back?? if so may I request a picture of it. The movements on the Nomos are stunning!!!
I'll try my best! :)

Wearing both of my Omegas, swapping them every hour or so; I just got both of them back after being away for a couple of months for servicing, etc.
